61' Wood Chip Gondola - Milwaukee Road

The WalthersMainline HO Scale 61' Wood Chip Gondola is a model of the big, colorful cars used to haul wood chips. Though they're one of the lightest loads carried by rail, wood chips require the biggest cars! Wood chips are big business for modern sawmills lumber operations. Wood chips were once burned as scrap or fuel at mills, but today, these by-products of the lumber industry are purchased by paper companies and used as feedstock to make paper.
